Philippines – New Mpox Case
Philippines has detected its first case of mpox.
The strain type yet to be confirmed.
It is understood that the 33 year old male has no travel history and was admitted to a public hospital on August 18, 2024 due to fever and body rashes.
Update :- The first mpox case reported by the Philippines this year is a mild variant and not the deadly strain sparking global alarm, Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said
